What today’s students face
With this constant push for the American Youth to have the infamous “corporate career”, America’s infrastructure has begun to suffer. Trade Crafts have started to become extinct due to this mentality. Thus, many manufacturers and marine construction projects have shifted to overseas markets because of this low labor force.
Here is how we plan to fight this way of life and encourage students to pursue a career outside of college.
How it Works
During the School year we work with high school staff and advisors to find the right students for our program. Students who are interested in visiting different OIL and Gas facilities and interested in a career in various craft trades . We then take them on a day trip to give thema visual and hands-on idea of what a day in the life of that job would look like.
NextGen has different industrial speakers come in to speak to these students and do a Q&A. These mentors can speak into the life of the kids and help them find what their true dream job could look like.Once Students feel they have found a career that suits them, we work with them to see how Oilfield NextGen can support them by introducing them into trade school, training programs, and even providing financial aid and possible sponsorships to support their dream.
Summer Opportunities
Once a student has attended one of our day trips, they are now eligible for our summer opportunities. If a student shows interest in a certain job or field, our team helps match them to possible summer internships or jobs.

Scholarships
Once these students have been through the school year selection and have attended the onsite day trip they are eligible to begin the interview process with the NextGen team and sponsors. Once approved the student will have the opportunity to be in a selected scholarship program to help support the cost of the trades school selected.
